Announced by companies such as MediaTek, Qualcomm and UNISOC last year, the 5G Chipset will bring 5G smartphones to market at an affordable price. Qualcomm’s latest 5G chipset, the Snapdragon 480 5G, will enable consumers to purchase an affordable Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
The Snapdragon 4 Series (400 Series) powers smartphones and tablets, while Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 480 5G chipset provides 5G connectivity for smartphones and tablets. That means you will be able to buy a 5G smartphone from now on for around $ 150 less.
The Snapdragon 480 5G is a chipset with an 8nm Octa Core Processor. It is also the flagship chipset of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Series in terms of power efficiency and power management.
The processor in this chipset is equipped with a Snapdragon X51 5G Modem, which is capable of providing both Sub-6Ghz and mmWave Networks SA and NSA Modes. It also supports Wi-Fi 6-Ready and WPA3 Security Protocols.
This chipset has a Spectra 345 Image Signal Processor which supports a 64MP single camera setup. It is also possible to use a Triple Camera Setup as required for this. Wide, Ultrawide and Telephoto Camera Lens can be expected from the smartphones that come with this chipset. It supports HEIF Photo Capture as well as HEVC Video Capture.
It also comes with an FHD + Display with a 120Hz Display Refresh Rate as well as Qualcomm aptX Audio, making it possible to get a Smooth Gaming & Great Audio Experience from any smartphone with this chipset. This chipset supports Quick Charge 4+ when it comes to charging technology.
We can expect a smart phone with a Snapdragon 480 5G chipset earlier this year and Nokia, Oppo and Oneplus will take the lead.
