Today ‘s article is about SpaceX, which was successfully completed in 2020, and Türksat 5A, the first mission to begin work in 2021.
Tksrksat is the leading government-affiliated communications agency covering Turkey and its environs. It is currently launching the Türksat 3A, 4A and 4B communications satellites into Central Asia, Europe and Africa, while launching the Türksat 5A as their latest satellite.
The Türksat 5A satellite weighs 3,400 kilograms and operates at 12 kilowatts. It is planned to be active as a geostationary satellite for 15 years in orbit at 31 degrees east longitude.
As usual, SpaceX uses a Falcon 9 Block 5 booster for this. That’s the booster called B1060. This booster was used for a launch for the 4th time.
The launch took place on January 8, 2021 at GMT 0215 (7.45 am Sri Lanka time). From the Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at CCSFS (Cape Canaveral Space Force Station) in Florida.
